The mission of the Foundation for the Université de Lyon is to work alongside the socio-economic world to contribute to the outreach of the Université de Lyon and its territory, internationally and on the Lyon Saint-Étienne site. The socio-economic development of the territory is intricately tied to that of its its higher education, research and innovation hub. A word from Bernard Bigot, President
Bernard Bigot, Président de la FPUL"Of all the cities I have been to, Lyon strikes the best balance between the potentials of human sciences/social sciences and engineering sciences/fundamental sciences. This dual potential must be fully exploited. To that end, there is no better way than creating spaces where academics can meet with local development stakeholders, with the objective of confronting points of view and creating value; and it is undoubtedly in the initiation of these places, these moments, these opportunities for cooperation which serve the general interest, that the Foundation is most useful. This is its major added value."
The Université de Lyon
The Université de Lyon is a word-class academic site of excellence. It is located at the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in Lyon and Saint-Étienne. Structured around 11 member institutions and several associated institutions, the Université de Lyon has three main objectives: to be a major, attractive and responsible university, with a reputation for excellence and innovation, and one which is enriched by strong international outreach; to provide outstanding training and research opportunities, in line with current social expectations and changes; to develop and promote the dynamics of the Lyon Saint-Étienne site, in conjunction with all regional local authorities.Visit the website
