École nationale des ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne (ENISE) Foundation

As part of its founding project, named ING-DH (Engineering for Human Development), the École nationale d'ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne (ENISE) Foundation, which is under the aegis of the Foundation for the Université de Lyon, puts humans at the center of its concerns.

It supports the development of ENISE around three dimensions:
  • Access to innovation: model and structure relationships with the economic world on the basis of innovation;
  • Access to training: respond to different audiences in an innovative and professionalizing way through partnerships with companies and territories waiting for skills;
  • Access to well-being: affirm its societal responsibility by making a significant contribution to improving the quality of life for more people.
The ENISE Foundation acts on strategic topics, in fields with high visibility for the school (mechanical engineering, civil engineering and physical engineering) by:
  • Identification, evolution and adaptation of training, research and innovation;
  • Identification and contribution to ENISE of strategic topics, such as digital and sustainable development, for the future of its engineers.
Currently, the ENISE Foundation focuses its energy on supporting the "Impression 3D (3D Printing)" chair, which goes beyond technical and scientific aspects to explore themes like the impact on the economic, social and organizational models of the company. The main themes developed are:
  • Improvement of material performance and functionality;
  • Development of materials contributing to sustainable development objectives: raw material recycling issues and life cycle;
  • Identification of new needs and occupations and proposal of training to meet them.
